Primary characters have a backstory, objectives and secrets they will try to keep, these characters are necessary to move the story along, guests looking to have a more interactive role and really get into character would be best suited for these roles. There is no particular script that you need to follow; simply do your best to act as you believe the assigned character would act. These roles DO NOT have any line memorization and are not expected to speak in front of the crowd.

Secondary characters will have secrets and objectives as well, however they are not required to move the story along and can therefore play less of an interactive role while still being part of the storyline.

Background characters will not have any secrets or objectives, they are considered “investigators”. These characters can participate as much or as little as they would like in solving the murder but will not be playing any specific role. This role can get as creative with their character as they like—come up with a fun name and backstory! This is a great chance to try out a Russian accent or even add a dramatic limp to your character!
